Afro World 2021
This year again, our organization teamed up with Equal Chance and successfully planned and organized the AFRO WORLD FEST 2021 co-hosted by Canadian hip hop Icon, Kardinal Offishall. The festival was headlined by French Canadian Icon, Corneille whose story of resilience after losing all his family members in the genocide in Rwanda, inspired many people.
The festival welcomed over 9 000 people online and a total of 300 people in person. Our in-person cultural exposé in collaboration with the ByWard Market (Ottawa Markets) gave folks a unique opportunity to discover Black cultures. It also allowed Black businesses, through our Afro World market to sell their products and grow their audience.
